Requesting Bids for Janitorial Services

The Northwestern Regional Airport Commission (NRAC) is requesting bids for Janitorial Services in the main airline terminal at the Cherry Capital Airport, 727 Fly Don’t Drive, Traverse City, MI 49686. The NRAC is also seeking a bid option for pandemic level deep cleaning services. The price per month for the scope of the pandemic level deep cleaning shall be submitted on the “Proposal Form”. TVC Airport Has Been Notified of an Email Phishing Scheme

April 15, 2020 – (Traverse City, MI) April 15, 2020 – TVC Airport has been notified that an email phishing scheme has been circulating claiming to give grant money to individuals via TVC Airport. Cherry Capital Airport Director Kevin Klein wants to alert the public that if you receive an email claiming to be from Cherry Capital Airport please DO NOT OPEN it, as it is not legitimate. TVC is working to resolve this issue and will keep the public updated as new information becomes available. AGAIN, PLEASE DO NOT OPEN ANY EMAIL CLAIMING TO BE FROM TVC AIRPORT.

TSA RECAPITALIZATION PROGRAM

The Work may be generally described as the removal of existing EDS equipment and the installation of new screening equipment, including upgrades to existing power and data to support the new screening equipment and modifications to the existing baggage handling system to support the new equipment.

A Mandatory Prebid Meeting will be held at 10:00 am local time, Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Northwestern Regional Airport Commission, Cherry Capital Airport upper level administration office at 727 Fly Don’t Drive, Traverse City, MI, 49686. Attendance at the meeting is Mandatory for all prime, electrical and baggage handling system contractors wishing to submit a bid on the project. Minutes of the meeting will be distributed to all plan holders as an addendum.

Sealed bids for the project will be received by the Northwestern Regional Airport Commission, Cherry Capital Airport upper level administration office at 727 Fly Don’t Drive, Traverse City, MI, 49686 until 2:00 p.m. local time, Thursday, March 5, 2020. Bids received after the stated time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after specified closing time. All interested parties are invited to attend.

Invitation for Public Comment on Airport Governance

Traverse City, MI (Dec. 4, 2019) – Grand Traverse County and Leelanau County—the owners of the Cherry Capital Airport (“Airport” or “TVC”)—and the Northwestern Regional Airport Commission (“NRAC”)—the governing body operating TVC—invites the public to provide comments on transitioning to a regional airport authority governance model. Three public input sessions will be held December 10 at 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM, and December 11 at 8-10 PM.

Ordinance Number: 2019-1 - The Northwestern Regional Airport Commission has the authority to adopt and amend all necessary rules, regulations, and ordinances, for the management, government, and use of the Cherry Capital Airport and any properties under its control. MCL 259.133. The Airport is neither designed nor intended as a public forum for First Amendment activities. Such activities will only be permitted in or upon the public areas of the Airport as set forth and, in the manner, prescribed by this policy.

Cherry Capital Airport has prepared this Emergency Contingency Plan pursuant to 42301 of the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012. Questions regarding this plan can be directed to Dan Sal at dan.sal@tvcairport.com. Cherry Capital Airport is filing this plan with the Department of Transportation because it is a commercial airport and may be used for diversions.
